Vehicle Inspector - Contractor

Beacon Inspections is searching for 1099 Independent Contractor Commercial Vehicle Field Inspectors in all US regions.
The ideal Independent Contractor will have experience as a diesel technician or in automotive repair industry and a knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment maintenance. Other common background includes auto inspectors, home inspectors, and insurance adjusters.Required:
- 1099 Independent Contractor status
- Flexible Schedule (daylight hours, Monday - Friday)
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Access to a newer smartphone or tablet with sufficient data plan
- Access to a laptop/desktop computer
- Heavy Duty Truck Diagnostic Tool (must read fault codes, capture aftertreatment (DPF/DEF) status, and provide printable or exportable report)
- Reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft and other web based software
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

Compensation:
$15,000 - $75,000 per year (part or full time)
Paid per inspection with mileage reimbursement.
