JOB TITLE: Avionics Installer II

LOCATION: Savannah, GA

PAY RATE: $28.75/hour

Summary:

• Assist with the removal and installation of avionics/electrical components, fabrication of wire harnesses, installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional testing of avionics and electrical systems.

• Assist with installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring, electrical components, and equipment per blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

• Maintain accurate logs and records.

• Complete tasks within allotted timeframes.

• Ensure all work meets regulatory and customer specifications.

• Inspect work to ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection.

• Follow company programs and policies, including FOD prevention, tool control, 5S, and safety regulations.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Properly care for and maintain shop tools and equipment.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen).

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• One of the following is also required:

  • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics, or

  • Two (2) years of related work experience, or

  • An avionics certificate from an accredited school and one (1) year of related work experience.

• Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic computer skills and software knowledge required.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
