Occupational Therapist School Setting in Cartersville, GA
An experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a background in K-12 education is needed to support a middle school caseload during a maternity leave. This full-time, contract position is based in Cartersville, GA, and runs from July 31st through November 1st, 2025, coinciding with the Fall Semester. There is potential for extension based on district needs.

Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 45 middle school students, with caseload subject to change
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to students' educational and functional goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and legal guidelines for therapy services
- Participate in transition planning and multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an OT or COTA with current state licensure
- Proven experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting
- Strong understanding of pediatric and school-based therapy practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to commit full-time (40 hours per week) during the specified contract period
