Position Title : Project Consultant

Position Type Part time (20-30hrs/week)

Location : Atlanta, GA 30308 (Remote)

Duration : 12 months + extension

Overview

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate specific projects and tasks within the energy sector, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with project plans, regulatory standards, and safety requirements. This role requires a balance of project management expertise, technical understanding, and the ability to synthesize and present the big picture to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with plans, timelines, and safety regulations.
• Track progress, manage resources, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Support project management of technical large-load initiatives by summarizing meeting notes and following up on action items.
• Coordinate technical evaluations for emerging technologies, including large load, Research and Development, and New Ventures.
• Design and coordinate evaluation frameworks for Grid Enhancing Technologies.
• Support development of ESTATCOM Agreements by coordinating components and preparing summary materials/decks.
• Assist with pilot projects, including data gathering, technical assessments, and coordination of needs.
• Provide high-level summaries and insights for leadership, connecting technical details to the overall strategic vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline (required).
• 6 10 years of experience managing tasks and projects in the energy sector.
• PMP certification (preferred/recommended).
• Familiarity with technical concepts in energy, power systems, or emerging technologies; deep technical expertise not required but exposure is essential.
• Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring project milestones and deliverables are met.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
