Software Engineer
Who is Rainforest?
Rainforest is an early stage payments-as-a-service startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.
We focus on small-to-mid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments — and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.
Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry, and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm, Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the payments-as-a-service space, and we're looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about building rock-solid payment products that enable billions of dollars in transactions. You’ll join our engineering team to build and scale an early stage fintech product, using Go, Vue, and AWS.
We seek innovators, hackers, and pioneers who can both get-stuff-done and collaborate effectively with development peers. You’ll know you’re the right candidate when you enjoy crafting reliable SaaS APIs and are also passionate about helping other developers to build their businesses upon those APIs.
The right candidate will already have experience building SaaS web applications and REST APIs and a solid foundation of related concepts.
What are some of the high-impact opportunities you’ll tackle?
Build product at an early-stage company where you’ll be building things from scratch instead of refactoring decades-old code
Ensure high availability and security of the product so that billions of customer funds can move seamlessly
Collaborate with team members, both in engineering and product as well as within the wider organization, to bring product visions to life
This opportunity is for you if you have / are:
5+ years as a Software Developer or similar role at a SaaS, payments, or technology company (experience with payments and/or PayFac is a plus!)
Experience with full-stack web development leveraging cloud technologies
Proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to partner closely with product, operations, risk, and finance
Demonstrate the ability to work within an agile team structure in a collaborative manner
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
We offer a comprehensive health benefits package, unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, a fun and flexible working environment, and continuously invest in our people and our culture.
If you require any accommodations throughout the pre-employment process, please contact our HR team at [email protected]
