Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult patients on a PCU with high acuity, including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and CKD.
- Monitor patient status via telemetry, perform ongoing assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; adjust care plans under physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and respiratory therapy to support care planning, transitions, and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient and family education, safety measures, and accurate charting in the electronic health record; participate in rounds and care coordination activities.

Requirements
- Current, active RN license in Georgia
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a high-acuity medical unit (PCU/step-down/telemetry)
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and critical care nursing fundamentals
- Ability to work night shifts and manage a 12-hour shift schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Experience caring for patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and CKD is preferred
