Travel Speech Language Pathologist Job
Speech Language Pathologist in a travel assignment within a skilled nursing setting located in Ideal, Georgia, United States. Start date: 04/06/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay: $2,306–$2,515 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 08:00–16:30, five days per week. - Urgent need Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on standard clinical guidelines and patient goals.
- Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the facility’s electronic health record; maintain compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nurses, therapists, physicians, social work) to coordinate care, participate in care planning, and support discharge planning and community reintegration.
- Provide patient and caregiver education on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and strategies to support swallowing safety and nutrition.
- Ensure safety and infection control during therapy sessions and adapt interventions to the patient’s clinical status and setting. Requirements
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Georgia or eligibility to practice in Georgia.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Board certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with adult populations in skilled care, geriatrics, or long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to work in a travel assignment, maintain flexibility, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with documentation in electronic health records and adherence to facility policies. Benefits and Support
