Property Manager
GENERAL MANAGER
Real Estate – Apartment Management – Supervisor
A national property management organization is seeking to hire a General Manager.
Job Duties
- Hiring and supervising the training of all property personnel
- Maintain the business office, rental office, model apartments, and maintenance control center
- Supervise office procedures, reports, and systems in accordance with established company policies
- Assist in preparing annual operating budgets
- Evaluate market comparables and new construction; track changes in rent, concessions, incentives, and competitive amenities
- Monitor financial performance to ensure adherence to budget
- Supervise the rental application process
- Contract, review, and process payments for goods and services
- Oversee rent collection, bank deposits, and delinquent account activity
- Assist in creating, supervising, and implementing marketing programs
- Assist with annual capital improvement planning, bidding, and project supervision
- Supervise and schedule preventative maintenance, repairs, services, grounds maintenance, HVAC maintenance, painting, cleaning, and other property operations
- Handle resident complaints and resolve public relations concerns
- Perform daily property inspections for cleanliness, misuse, and safety hazards
- Inspect vacant units before move‑in for readiness and after move‑out for damage
Requirements for General Manager
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Manager and 5 years of property management experience
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and writing skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and general computer skills
- Yardi software experience preferred
- Professional certifications (CAM, NALP, ARM, CAPS, broker license) are a plus
- BA, BS, or Associate degree preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
