Setting: RN assignment in a progressive care/intermediate care unit within an acute-care environment

- Note: No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult PCU patients, including initial assessments, ongoing monitoring, and timely documentation.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with wound care and pain management per care plans.
- Monitor telemetry and vital signs; recognize clinical changes and respond to alarms; escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other members of the care team to implement and adjust patient care plans.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; educate patients and families on post-acute care and safety.
- Adhere to infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and accurate charting in the electronic medical record.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU/intermediate care setting
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts; willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Demonstrated telemetry competency and comfort with progressive care responsibilities
- Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
