Position DescriptionJob Summary:
An Asphalt Emulsion Terminal Operator is responsible for loading emulsion tankers with the correct material, moving product from tank to tank, assisting in the manufacturing process as well as maintaining the equipment and the yard.
Essential Functions:
- Dedication. Be committed to serve by accurately blending and manufacturing emulsion products and loading tankers using various computer programs.
- Scale trucks in and out of terminal.
- Safety always wins. Transfer and move products safely and efficiently from tank to tank in the yard.
- Receive truck shipments and offload contents into various tanks.
- Climb vertical tank to measure tank levels and regulate tank temperature.
- Ownership and caring. Work on pumps and valves and other mechanical devices to maintain good operating condition.
- Results Matter. Plan and coordinate with dispatch to ensure proper products are loaded onto correct trucks to ensure accurate deliveries.
- Respect and engage by assisting manufacturing processes. Communicate often and seek feedback about new developments.
- Committed to serve. Perform plant housekeeping and cleanup.
Requirements, Education and Experience:
- Experience running equipment a plus; must be willing to learn to operate mobile equipment.
- Available to work 5am-4pm with frequent overtime
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift operating experience, a plus.
- Proficient English verbal and written communication skills
- Legal right to work in the U. S.

Travel:
Travel by personal vehicle throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This position works outdoors in hot, humid and/or inclement weather. Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion. Must have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
