Church Administrator (Operations)

Summary:
The Business Administrator is responsible to the Pastor/Assistant Pastor for administering the business affairs of the church. They act as the organizational backbone that ensures the various components of the church work harmoniously together.
With a blend of administrative prowess and a heart for service, the Church Administrator manages day-to-day operations and supports the execution of events and programs. They coordinate schedules, facilitate communication between church staff and volunteers, and manage facilities to create a welcoming environment for worship and community gatherings. Their dedication to streamlining processes and promoting efficient workflows contributes significantly to the overall health and growth of the congregation, allowing the church's mission and ministries to flourish.
Responsibilities: 1. Operations Management:- Develop and implement efficient systems and processes to support the day-to-day operations of the church.- Coordinate and oversee facility management, including maintenance, repairs, and scheduling of events and activities.- Manage church inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring their availability and proper functioning.- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure effective communication and coordination of operational activities.
2. Event Planning and Coordination:- Plan and coordinate church events, including worship services, meetings, conferences, and special events.- Arrange logistics for events, such as venue booking, equipment setup, and coordination of volunteers.- Ensure all necessary resources and materials are available for events, such as audiovisual equipment, seating arrangements, and printed materials.
3. Administrative Support:- Provide administrative support to church staff and leadership, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.- Maintain accurate records and databases, including membership information, attendance records, and volunteer databases.- Assist in the preparation and distribution of church communications, such as newsletters, bulletins, and announcements.
4. Volunteer Management:- Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for various church activities and programs.- Provide guidance and support to volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information to fulfill their roles effectively.- Maintain volunteer records and recognize their contributions to the church community.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field (preferred).- Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and church members.- Proficiency in using office software and technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.- Knowledge of church operations and familiarity with church management software is a plus.- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the church.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
