Inventory Specialist
Job Title: Stockroom Clerk
Job Description
The Stockroom Clerk receives, inspects, and stores PCB manufacturing materials and components, maintains accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, and issues parts to production based on work orders and material requests. This role organizes and labels stockroom items for easy access and traceability, picks and assembles components into production kits, verifies kit contents against bills of materials, and delivers complete kits to the production floor in a timely and accurate manner while communicating any shortages or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store PCB manufacturing materials and electronic components according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock levels are correct and up to date.
- Issue parts and materials to production teams based on work orders, material requests, and pick lists.
- Organize, label, and arrange stockroom items to ensure easy access, efficient workflow, and clear traceability.
- Pick, verify, and assemble components into production kits (kitting) in alignment with production schedules.
- Cross-check assembled kits against bills of materials (BOMs) to confirm accuracy and completeness before release to production.
- Deliver complete and verified kits to the production floor in a timely manner to support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and inventory issues promptly to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
- Support inventory control activities, including stocking, picking, and packing, to maintain an orderly and efficient stockroom.
- Follow established procedures and best practices for inventory control, kitting, and stockroom operations to ensure quality and consistency.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience working in a stockroom, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience handling inventory, stockroom operations, and kitting activities in a production setting.
- Ability to perform inventory control tasks, including cycle counts, picking, and packing of materials.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems or ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Fishbowl.
- Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and pick lists accurately.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate kitting, labeling, and inventory record keeping.
- Basic understanding of PCB or electronics manufacturing environments (experience in this area is a plus).
- Effective communication skills to report shortages, discrepancies, and inventory issues clearly.
- Organizational skills to maintain a well-structured and easily navigable stockroom.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with PCB or electronics components in a manufacturing or stockroom role is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using ERP or inventory management software to track and manage materials.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and supervisory teams.
- Reliability and punctuality to support a consistent first-shift production schedule.
- Willingness to follow established procedures and contribute to continuous improvement in stockroom processes.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position with working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., supporting an active PCB and electronics manufacturing operation. The role is based in a stockroom and production environment where you will handle physical materials, components, and inventory systems throughout the day. The setting emphasizes organization, accuracy, and collaboration with production teams, with a steady workflow aligned to manufacturing schedules.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
