Precision Wiring & Assembly Technician

Siemens Mobility
Alpharetta, GA

Ready to turn schematics into working reality?

If you thrive on meticulous builds, clean wiring, and measurable quality, you’ll feel at home at Siemens. For over a century and a half, we’ve advanced U.S. infrastructure and transportation. Our mission: rail systems that simply run—enabled by data-driven maintenance, rapid parts fulfillment, and modernization for near-constant availability. We’re also proud to be Great Place to Work® certified.

Imagine this

You open a new work order, study the drawings, and map out materials from the BOM. You align components, fasten subassemblies, and create exact mounting points—drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and spot-facing as the print requires. With calipers in hand, you verify every critical dimension. You test circuits for resistance and function, document results, address anomalies, and hand off a clean, compliant unit—ready to keep people and goods moving.

Your impact

  • Read and apply diagrams, blueprints, schematics, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials and build steps.
  • Assemble, position, align, and secure parts into frames, subassemblies, and complete units using the right tools.
  • Use fixtures, templates, microscopes, and precision methods to fit components accurately.
  • Form mounting/wiring holes (drill, tap, ream, countersink, spot-face) with drill presses and portable drills.
  • Measure and confirm tolerances and clearances using precision instruments such as calipers.
  • Inspect surfaces; test wiring, assemblies, and circuits; record and resolve findings.
  • Clean parts with approved solutions; maintain an organized, safe work area and tool inventory.

Your toolkit

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Robust wiring skills and hands-on schematic interpretation.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Clear English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Collaborative, quick to learn, dependable in execution.
  • Safety-first mindset; comfortable with power tools/equipment.
