Job Summary

Cogent Technology Resource is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven Procurement & Inventory Manager to lead purchasing, inventory control, vendor coordination, and product flow for our team in Tucker, Georgia.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on, on-site role for someone who communicates extremely well, types efficiently, follows through consistently, and can manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy. We are looking for someone who is professional, responsive, and able to take ownership of purchasing and inventory processes while also supporting warehouse-related operations.

This is not a remote or hybrid position .

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing for project materials, stock inventory, and product-only orders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, manufacturers, and vendors
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, freight, and product availability
• Create and manage purchase orders accurately and on time
• Monitor order confirmations, tracking, backorders, substitutions, and delivery timing
• Maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate stock levels, replenishment, receiving, and staged materials
• Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure products are received, organized, and ready for project execution
• Serve as an internal product resource by validating part numbers, substitutions, and item setup
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials are aligned with project needs and deadlines
• Help manage overstock, returns, RMAs, and discontinued product transitions
• Maintain clean records in business systems and support product/catalog accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Professional follow-through and sense of urgency
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with vendors and internal team members
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, order tracking, and vendor coordination
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site in Tucker, GA

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, operations, or a similar role
• Proven ability to manage orders, vendors, and timelines with accuracy
• Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets, email, and business software systems
• Experience with ERP, inventory, or project management systems preferred
• Simpro experience is a plus
• Experience in healthcare technology, IT hardware, AV, logistics, or distribution is a plus
