Position OverviewThe First Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire first processing operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations. The role focuses on optimizing production efficiency, managing a team, and maintaining the highest quality in food processing operations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise first processing operations, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency and productivity in the processing plant.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, FDA, USDA regulations, and internal food safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of processing equipment and procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Train, mentor, and lead processing staff to promote a culture of safety and high performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and enhance product quality.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, address issues, and implement improvements in processing methods.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in food processing management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, FDA, USDA) and industry best practices.
- Experience with food processing equipment and operations management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
