Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years progressively responsible related HR experience. Proficient computer skills in MS Office. PeopleSoft knowledge is a plus. Position Purpose : Under minimal direction, helps design and develop various new benefits and health management programs, administers company benefits programs. Resolves very complex benefits issues as necessary. Develops employees¿ communications on various new and existing benefits programs. Ensures benefits programs meet legal compliance. Reviews programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations for program improvements. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  • Analyzes and interprets benefits plan designs and works with employees and plan providers to resolve complex employee claims situations.
  • Works with vendors, plan administrators and consultants to investigate discrepancies and provide information in complex situations.
  • Leads major projects of broad scope and complexity to implement new programs or improve existing processes.
  • Designs and delivers health management programs for employees.
  • Monitors administration and service levels of benefit plan and care management vendors. Evaluates effectiveness and facilitates improvements, as needed.
  • Conducts competitive analysis of employee benefits coverages and costs found in other companies to determine the competitive position of Gulfstream benefits program.
  • Designs and coordinates implementation of employee benefits communication programs.
  • Ensures that benefit programs are administered in accordance with federal and state laws, plan documents and contracts.
  • Prepares analysis of benefit programs for program cost effectiveness and overall efficiency.
  • Mediates differences in interpretation of policies.
  • Implements changes to plan design and programs as needed.
  • Oversees SPD, plan document and SMM to ensure compliance with legal obligations for the corporation are met.
  • Executes benefit programs for international locations.
  • Assists in renewals of benefit programs.
