Job Summary

We’re seeking a reliable Lab Technician to perform routine chemical testing, sample preparation, and data entry using LIMS. You’ll work with instruments like ICP, IC, XRD, and XRF, assist with reporting, and handle hazardous waste. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable lifting to 30 lbs.

Job Description

• Receive and log in samples from internal customers
• Perform data entry and utilize LIMS systems to track sample progress
• Under general supervision, conducts routine chemical and physical analysis by running tests
• Works independently performing mechanical and wet chemical tests for analysis of production fluids and solids. This includes sample preparation.
• Assists technical support personnel in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results to internal and external customers
• Handles special projects as assigned
• Working with ICP, IC, XRD, XRF, and various handheld lab meters
• Ability to lift satellite waste ~30 lbs.
• Familiarity with hazardous waste disposal is a plus

Skills Required

• Dependable and punctual with a solid understanding of proper laboratory testing techniques and safety guidelines
• Knowledge of advanced laboratory equipment and LIMS systems
• Computer (PC) skills; experience creating spreadsheets and reports on a PC
• Ability to perform detail-oriented, mistake-free work and excellent teamwork skills
• Technical Skills:
  • Ability to lift satellite waste ~30 lbs.
  • Familiarity with hazardous waste disposal is a plus, sample prep, filtering, not analyzing

Education/Training/Certifications

• A bachelor’s degree in chemistry is preferred if there is no other lab experience
  • Degree in Chemistry or Biology with lab experience
  • Without a degree, 1-2 years working in a lab setting

Additional Requirements

• Work Hours: Mon to Fri, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (open to 8:00 am – 4:30 pm)

Pay Rate/Salary

• $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
