Scheduling Coordinator

As a Scheduling Coordinator with Interim HealthCare® , you’ll do more than create schedules, you’ll ensure every client receives dependable, timely care when they need it most. In this fast-paced and essential role, you serve as the connection between our caregivers, clients, and office team to keep care running smoothly every day.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in making sure no shift goes uncovered. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and respond quickly directly impacts the quality of care our clients receive at home.

- Create and maintain caregiver schedules to ensure consistent client coverage
- Quickly fill open shifts due to call-offs, schedule changes, or new client cases
- Coordinate caregiver assignments based on availability, skills, and client needs
- Communicate scheduling updates clearly and professionally with caregivers and clients
- Monitor attendance, call-offs, and caregiver reliability trends
- Maintain accurate records within scheduling and EVV systems
- Collaborate with recruiting and clinical teams to anticipate staffing needs
- Provide on-call scheduling support as assigned
- Ensure continuity of care by proactively addressing scheduling challenges
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
- At least one (1) year of scheduling, staffing coordination, or home care experience preferred
- Strong customer service and phone communication skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office
- Professional, calm demeanor under pressure
