Staff Accountant
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their team in Georgia. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is eager to contribute to the financial success and accuracy of the organization. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently, while also supporting various accounting functions and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record accounting entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and research variances or discrepancies.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial records.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper accounting treatment.
- Support audit activities by gathering requested documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash-related accounting functions as needed.
- Help ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve reporting accuracy.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support financial reporting, special projects, and other ad hoc assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
- 2-5 years of accounting, finance, or related professional experience.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Experience with ERP accounting software and financial systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Work Hours
Monday - Friday, 1st shift

Additional Details
Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year.
