Growing company with hose products, fluid management products sold in many industries: automotive, medical, gardening, tires, etc. needs a Product Development Engineer with a good understanding of materials and mixing methods.
This job is in Jackson, Tennessee.
- Should be familiar with rubber and rubber/synthetic blends used in different hose-making applications.
- Will develop hose assemblies which meet performance specifications.
- Will work in design, sample builds, and testing.
- Specification of capital equipment needed to make products.
- Will coordinate with sales, manufacturing, customers, and suppliers to ensure processes meet quality objectives according to TS 16949, ISO 14001, and QS 9000 requirements.
- Investigate customer issues and provide technical service at the engineering level.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to lower costs, improve manufacturing throughput, improve quality, increase customer satisfaction.
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar.
2+ years' experience with rubber mixing or working with synthetic materials used in hose
assemblies.
Will consider non-degreed individuals with extensive experience.
Should have experience working with hose products, or with similar products.
Must have a background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality standards.
