TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Acute Care (Med Surg) Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in Acute Care MedSurg setting License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Basic Med Surg skills - Cardiac skills preferred Description: The nursing unit has a strict 75-mile radius rule. Experience in an acute care MedSurg setting is required. The unit has a total of 14 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5. Staff includes both RNs and patient care technicians. Basic care includes medication administration, pain control, and treatment of blood sugars. Nurses are not required to titrate drips. Common medications on the unit may include heparin and lasix. The charge nurse may take on a patient assignment. Weekend work is not required as the unit is closed. Holidays may require work if they fall during the week. Potential floating may occur to another Med Surg unit if census is low. Nurses are not required to read tele strips as there are no tele/monitor techs. Equipment includes basic ventilation support such as nasal cannula and high flow devices. This position offers a unique opportunity within an acute care setting. About Cynet Health
