High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year related structural assembly experience. Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred. One year experience credit considered for graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program. Position Purpose: In a team-oriented work environment, under moderate supervision, performs a variety of structural assembly operations in a production department. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet FAA requirements, customer specifications, and Gulfstream standard of quality 2. Rivet structural assemblies and parts, including sheetmetal parts, using all tools required to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets) 3. Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets. 4. Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection 5. Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs). Use resource planning system to enter daily labor against correct Work Order and Item numbers 6. Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners 7. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program and complies with all safety regulations 8. Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks 9. Support Lean Activities Additional Functions: 1. Additional Functions 2. Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g. YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.) 3. Keep shop and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered 4. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by Supervisor 5. Comply with safety rules and procedures Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: 1. Basic knowledge of various aircraft structures, sheetmetal, and fabrication processes 2. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints 3. Read and interpret 6" scale 4. Basic computer skills 5. Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math 6. Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions 7. Must have essential personal skills, which include an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, ability to work with people and to meet demanding schedules 8. Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices 9. Ability to work with composite resins and materials 10. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 11. Must be able to work any shift 12. Must be able to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas 13. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language

Position Purpose: In a team-oriented work environment, independently performs a variety of structural assembly operations using required tools and appropriate prints, specs and operational requirements to complete work assignment, and ensure conformance to specification. Assists and instructs other team members. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: 1. Use ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of employees and techniques and completes work in innovative and effective ways 2. Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements 3. Use complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings and technical instructions to safely perform layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft. Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications 4. Ability to move to new tasks with minimal, short-term impact to established goal hours and schedule 5. Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets). Must display the ability to remove fasteners without damaging structures 6. Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size for rivets, hole pattern for rivets, cutand form plastics and follow standard operating procedures when using adhesives, sealants and solvents 7. Check all work and ensure a defect free assembly prior to final inspection 8. Mentor, train, and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders; develop methods and shop aids to resolve production installation difficulties and problems 9. Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs) 10. Align and assembles parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners 11. Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Request (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), performs necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity 12. Plan and organize workloads and resource requirements to meet or exceed goal hours and schedule expectations. Assist in overseeing projects or other technicians and assesses requirements of assigned tasks to procure required materials and documentation for assigned tasks 13. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S, Lean Initiative Program, and complies with all safety regulations 14. Support Lean Activities, comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: 1. Good working knowledge of computers and related software 2. Must be able to read and interpret blue prints 3. Must be skilled in close tolerance work and have knowledge of use of special tools and equipment. Should be able to use all tools required to do the job 4. Must be able to use mathematical formulas by solving dimensional problems using fractions, decimal fractions and whole numbers 5. Thorough knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices, demonstrated ability to use within specified tolerance 6. Must be able to work any shift 7. Must be able to lift 50 lbs 8. Must be able to climb ladders, stands, stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas 9. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
