Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk in Kennesaw, GA . In this hands-on, fast-paced role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely shipment and receipt of materials while supporting warehouse operations and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers. In a Shipping & Receiving Clerk role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Receiving and processing daily material orders, including accepting deliveries, labeling items, and distributing packages internally.
• Coordinating outbound shipments to customers, including boxing goods, addressing packages, and communicating with shipping carriers.
• Maintaining accurate shipping and receiving records and preparing regular reports.
• Scheduling large shipments and coordinating logistics to ensure adequate storage space and staffing.
• Tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages to the purchasing team.
• Processing orders using customer-preferred shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.)
• Operating pallet jacks and lifts and safely boxing and moving materials up to 70 lbs.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Performing customer service duties and maintaining positive relationships with clients and carriers.

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and LTL shipping.
  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and database/spreadsheet systems (Sage preferred).
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.

Schedule: Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay: $17.00 per hour
