Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 annually Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Smyrna, GA. This position is responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable operations, including vendor payments, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports.
- Research and resolve discrepancies and outstanding account balances.
- Maintain accurate AP records and documentation.
- Prepare payments and input data into the accounting system.
- Coordinate daily totals for checking account transfers.
- Assist with journal entries and month-end closing tasks.
- Generate ad hoc reports for management as needed.
- Act as the point of contact for vendor inquiries and invoice resolution.
- Prepare and issue annual 1099s to vendors and contractors.
- Participate in special projects and support team training efforts.
- Handle sensitive consumer information (e.g., Social Security numbers, birth dates).
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Associates degree in Accounting or High school diploma
- Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
- Great Plains or large ERP software.
- Availability to work overtime when needed.
