Location: Austell, GA
Pay: $95k - $110k
Position Type: Immediate, full-time permanent position working onsite in Austell, GA
Our team at The Recruiting Pros is conducting a high-priority search for a talented Quality Control Manager on behalf of a wholesaler/distributor of consumer products located in Austell, GA. The company is innovative, growing, and filled with smart, collaborative people.
In this hands-on role you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the company’s quality control/assurance management system ensuring that product specifications are followed by each of the US production facilities and manufacturing sites around the world, including Asia and India. You will work closely with executives and leaders in business operations, communicating and reporting on results, issues and recommendations to improve quality control methods and procedures.
This is an immediate, full-time, permanent position and will require you to work onsite in Austell and travel overseas 1 to 2 times per year.
Routine responsibilities will require you to:
- Manage the creation, control and distribution of all company quality documents, coordinating and communicating all quality related correspondence with management, sales, materials management and other key stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and integrate a comprehensive quality assurance manual of control.
- Develop KPI’s for quality and establish standards for the organization.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system; make recommendations and implement improvements as needed.
- Lead and facilitate all quality management meetings; verify and communicate manufacture quality requirements.
- Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of company management.
- Maintain and log all first article and quality control samples in QC area.
- Coordinate all QA/QC SKU compliance activities; monitor, manage, track, and maintain the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports.
- Document, respond to and close all customers’ complaints.
- Maintain control of all documentation related to a new product and/or project. Monitor and report on all quality related activities.
- Review and record all supplier material certificates.
Required education and experience:
- Degree in a quality assurance related field, i.e. quality, mechanical or industrial engineering.
- 5+ years experience managing quality assurance in a manufacturing or finished good environment.
- 2+ years in a management role.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with Adobe Photo Deluxe and MS Office Picture Manager considered a strong plus.
- Experience with NetSuite, AS400, A+ and/or WMS considered a strong plus.
- Understanding of various field concepts, practices and manufacturing processes related to quality assurance.
- Excellent organization, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to successfully balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
