Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care to adult surgical patients, with a focus on GI procedures, in the acute care setting
- Conduct preoperative assessment, verify orders and consent, and prepare patients and equipment for procedures
- Maintain sterile technique, set up and assist with intraoperative instrumentation as circulating or scrub nurse as assigned
- Monitor vital signs, anesthesia equipment, and patient status; respond to intraoperative changes promptly
- Assist with patient positioning, instrument handling, specimen collection, and room turnover between cases
- Ensure accurate documentation of perioperative care in the electronic medical record and communicate handoffs to the postoperative team

Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Georgia
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the perioperative specialty (RN Peri Op) or closely related acute GI unit experience
- Nursing degree (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from an accredited program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and meet the 12-hour day shift schedule
- Eligibility for travel assignment; willingness to work in an acute perioperative setting
