IT Purchasing Team Lead
Responsibilities:
- Serve as lead contact for team escalations as subject matter expert (SME) in billing, procurement, and mobility support.
- Responsible for motivating team towards success through building, managing, engaging, training, and coaching.
- Communicate assignments to appropriate teammates.
- Manage scheduling and coverage of team and ensure appropriate availability of service
- Identify potential account issues and implement preventative measures. Ensure/negotiate expedient restoration of telecom and other services in the event of service interruption.
- Develop, plan, and manage assigned project team and projects to meet deliverables. Track and provide reports on project performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Schedule and conduct stakeholder and steer committee meetings. distribute, organize, and archive project notes for tracking and auditing purposes.
- Maximize overall cost savings and provide Telecom spend reporting analysis.
- Maintain, verify, and archive vendor account documentation and setup in SAP.
- Collaborate with Mauser vendors for successful billing and telecom account management.
- Submit monthly invoices. Oversee invoice processing and approvals for payment, credits, and reconciliation for 160+ Remote, North America accounts.
- Prepare and communicate month-end- close analysis report to directors and accounting team.
- Improve efficiency, and introduce new processes for customer satisfaction.
- Communicate workload and performance to management, providing and continually improving upon departmental performance metrics reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5 years' overall relevant experience working in an IT Purchasing environment and 3 years' experience leading and managing teams preferred
- Strong leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills are required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with peers and all levels of management.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to prioritize and meet schedules in a multi-task environment
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and automated accounting and purchasing systems
- Experience with SAP, Basware and ServiceNow is a plus
- Experience with implementation of automated business systems to include requirements definition, testing, training and system documentation is a plus
- High level of integrity and professional demeanor is required
- Ability to work after hours when necessary
