• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1080 - $1100 per week

LPN Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate
• Active LPN license in Tennessee (TN)
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience; long-term care or correctional facility experience preferred
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background clearance (completed on first day)
• Open availability to work per healthcare facility scheduling policy

LPN Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and execute physician orders in a correctional facility setting
• Assist physicians during exams and treatments for residents
• Dispense and document medications according to healthcare policy
• Maintain and control medical supplies and equipment inventory
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform clinical procedures within LPN scope of practice
• Document and report nursing activities per established policies and procedures
• Observe and record resident behavior, maintaining confidentiality of medical records
• Inspect medical unit for safety and ensure proper handling of supplies
• Prepare and maintain narrative, statistical, and operational records and reports
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, residents, and visitors, demonstrating professionalism and good judgment
• Assist with safety and accident reports, responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies
• Escort or coordinate movement of residents for medical treatment as needed
• Maintain security protocols and engage in functions within confined areas
