Job Title: Superintendent – Commercial Fencing

Location: Canton, GA

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Operations Manager / Project Manager

We are a leading commercial fencing contractor with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality perimeter security solutions. Our projects range from municipal and industrial fencing to large-scale commercial developments. We’re seeking a dedicated Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure our projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.

Position Summary:

The Superintendent will lead all on-site activities for fencing projects, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to specifications, and coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. This role demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations at multiple job sites
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specs, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Conduct job site inspections and enforce safety protocols (OSHA compliance)
• Schedule work activities and monitor progress to meet deadlines
• Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding schedules, issues, and updates
• Address any on-site issues that may impact productivity or safety
• Verify fence layout, elevation, and measurements per plans
• Complete daily field reports and timecards
• Train, coach, and supervise field employees
• Conduct pre-construction and progress meetings as needed
• Manage site equipment and tool inventory

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial fencing or related construction field
• 2+ years in a supervisory or superintendent role
• Strong knowledge of fence types (chain link, ornamental, security, crash-rated, etc.)
• Proficient in reading blueprints and site plans
• Solid understanding of construction safety and OSHA requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively across multiple job sites
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Lift up to 75 lbs
• Stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
