Travel Surgical Tech Job

Healthforce by TLC
Atlanta, GA
Step into a demanding, rewarding chapter of your surgical career as a Travel Surgical Tech in the heart of Georgia’s fast-paced medical communities. This assignment blends expert instrument handling with vital patient care, putting you at the center of life-saving procedures in state-of-the-art operating rooms. As you scrub, pass instruments, and anticipate the needs of surgeons, you’ll shape outcomes, mentor newer staff, and develop a discipline-focused mindset that carries you across assignments and specialties. Imagine applying your skills where precision matters most, in dynamic teams that value teamwork, safety, and swift, thoughtful action. And when the shift ends, Georgia’s welcoming culture and outdoor splendor invite you to recharge—whether you’re savoring the city’s urban energy or exploring the nearby mountains and coastline.

Georgia’s beauty is more than a backdrop; it’s part of the experience. From the iconic skylines of Atlanta to the winding trails of the Blue Ridge, from historic Savannah’s moss-draped charm to coastal beaches along Tybee Island, this state offers varied scenery, friendly communities, and a calendar of festivals that celebrate food, music, and heritage. In your downtime, you can hike, kayak, or stroll through neighborhoods rich with art, cuisine, and Southern hospitality. This is a place where your professional journey and personal adventures can grow together, expanding your network while you recharge.

Working in Atlanta means access to top-tier hospitals, trauma centers, and academic medical centers that push clinical practice forward. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, learn through exposure to complex cases, and sharpen sterile technique, instrument tracking, and patient positioning under pressure. The role is designed with consistency in mind: 40 hours per week guaranteed, with a competitive weekly pay range between 1,389 and 1,443 dollars, plus a start date aligned to project needs on 03/16/2026. For greater flexibility, there’s the option to serve at facilities across the U.S.—a chance to experience diverse patient populations, operations, and technology platforms while building a robust professional portfolio.

Key responsibilities include setting up and breaking down sterile fields, preparing the surgical tray, passing instruments with precision, maintaining instrument counts, and supporting surgeons and scrub nurses throughout cases. You’ll monitor sterility, assist with patient positioning as needed, and adapt to evolving case loads across general, orthopedic, and specialty procedures. The assignment emphasizes ongoing growth: access to mentorship, rotations through different OR environments, and opportunities to extend your assignment at high-demand sites. Competitive benefits include a signing bonus, housing assistance, and the chance to extend your contract beyond the initial term based on performance and facility needs. Our travel program includes 24/7 support—our dedicated team is available around the clock to assist with housing, transportation, credentialing, and any on-site challenges you encounter while traveling with us.

Our company is grounded in empowering its staff, with clear pathways for career advancement, ongoing education stipends, and a culture that prioritizes your well-being and professional development. We celebrate resilience, teamwork, and the pursuit of clinical excellence, creating an environment where travel opportunities become stepping stones to leadership roles and specialized competency in surgical technology. You’ll find a collaborative atmosphere that respects your expertise, values your voice, and helps you grow from assignment to assignment, always with an eye on patient outcomes and professional mastery.
