Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

Perform various functions in support of finishing department operations, including shipping, loading and delivery of flooring products, scrap, and milling dust.

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

Perform pre-operational safety checks and complete a vehicle inspection report before operating equipment

Recharge lift truck battery or replace/refuel gas tank

Lifting 40+ pounds numerous times during the work shift

Keep designated finishing lines stocked with all material needs

Monitor all milling typhoons for milling dust collection

Unload goods from storage areas, bin locations or trailers

Any other tasks assigned by management

Ability to multi-task and stay focused on safety while performing job duties

Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.

Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.

Ability to work 12-hour shifts

Ability to lift 80 pounds

Successful completion of all required on the job training.

Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner as trained.

Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.

Must be 18 years old.

Other functions that may be assigned

Pass the Mohawk lift truck certification test.

Must Pass Eye Exam

Dependable with good attendance record.

Reads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.

Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer preferred.

Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
