Your impact

Manage the preparation of transit project scopes of work, plans, schedules, and budgets. Manage all aspects of construction project implementation including procurement of material, equipment, consultants and contractors. Manage the quality and safety of work performed on capital projects. Implement change management processes and carry out project communications throughout the organization. Perform project monitoring and controlling. Manage the schedules and budget to ensure positive project performance. Coordinate the acquisition of real estate parcels required for capital projects. Review engineering drawings and specifications to analyze constructability and to ensure compliance with design requirements. Manage the activities in evaluating contractor and consultant bids and prepare selection criteria for hiring consultants and contractors. Enforce contract provisions and resolve budgetary, technical and scheduling issues. Make periodic site visits/inspections to ensure construction compliance with design documents. Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with business goals and objectives. Identify and evaluate project risks and develop plans to mitigate the potential effects of unplanned events on assigned projects. Conduct monthly project status briefs to upper management.

Hybrid schedule.

TRAVEL: Domestic travel to construction project site locations and client offices to review progress and attend coordination meetings.

Here's what you'll need

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field and 5 years of work experience in construction project management occupation.

In Lieu of the requirements listed above, employer will accept: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field and 3 years of work experience in construction project management occupation.

Must possess expertise/ knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/ knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/ knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time." Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. Required expertise/ knowledge includes: Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, for example, architectural, structural, civil and MEP drawings. Experience working in Project planning and scoping, design management, construction management, contract administration and negotiations, project cost accounting and finance areas. Project management tools and scheduling software. Mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference and geometry and apply those concepts to practical situations.

Must have: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and should be in the path for obtaining Professional Engineer (P.E) licensure.

Must have: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

136,656.00

The base salary range for this position is $136,656.00 to $143,925.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
