The Role
This is not a dispatcher or a coordinator role. This is a hands-on Production Manager position for someone who thrives on pace, structure, and results.

You will run the daily production engine — making sure crews are ready, materials are in place, installs start strong, and performance targets are hit. If you enjoy solving problems before they become fires and taking ownership of outcomes, this role was built for you.

What You’ll Do

Daily Production & Crew Leadership
Lead the daily launch of HVAC and fireplace installation crews
Keep jobs moving on schedule and eliminate downtime
Set clear expectations and keep crews aligned and productive

Purchasing, Materials & Install Readiness
Review sold jobs to ensure scopes are clear, complete, and install-ready
Build accurate material lists and create purchase orders for upcoming installs
Coordinate with vendors to ensure equipment and materials arrive on time
Eliminate install delays caused by missing or incorrect materials
Partner with sales and install teams to resolve scope issues early

Performance Tracking & Metrics
Own daily production dashboards and scoreboards
Track labor hours, revenue per crew, and revenue per hour
Spot trends, identify issues early, and take action fast

Labor Efficiency & Job Flow
Manage labor efficiency and daily production capacity
Solve scheduling conflicts and production bottlenecks
Keep the install pipeline full and flowing

Job Health & Cash Flow Protection
Ensure jobs are properly closed out and funded
Monitor job status, AR items, and PO alignment
Protect cash flow by keeping installs clean and complete

Process Ownership & Continuous Improvement
Execute and enforce JR Bolton production SOPs
Ensure documentation, photos, and close-outs meet standards
Continuously improve production systems as volume grows

Requirements

Experience managing production, installs, or field operations
Strong comfort with numbers, dashboards, and daily reporting
Experience with purchasing, material planning, or PO creation
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
Confident holding teams accountable with professionalism
Comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume environments

Preferred
HVAC or construction operations experience
Understanding of labor efficiency, job costing, and install workflows
Experience leading install crews or production teams
Vendor coordination or supply chain experience
