Overview of the Role

We are looking for a talented Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a strategic role in shaping the technical architecture of our native mobile applications and Casino/PAM (Player Account Management) frontend, ensuring an exceptional user experience through scalable, maintainable, and localized frontend solutions across diverse markets.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about clean, modular architectural design, cross-platform scalability, and enabling high-performing teams through best practices. The architect operates within a matrix-managed structure, supporting multiple squads that contribute to a monorepo, and plays a key role in balancing reusability with the rapid localization needs. Experience in such environments is a strong advantage.

This role enabladopts a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to balance working from home with working in our modern offices. You and your manager will agree on the best working pattern that suits both of you. We’ll kit you out to work remotely, but we know that collaboration is key to our success, and spending quality time together helps us stay aligned with our mission.

What you’ll do:  

Native App & Casino/PAM Frontend Architecture: Lead the architectural design and technical roadmap for our native mobile applications and the core Casino/PAM frontend, focusing on performance, scalability, and user experience

Mono-Repo Strategy & Guidance: Define and enforce architectural patterns and best practices for developing on a mono-repo, enabling multiple squads to contribute efficiently while maintaining code quality and consistency

Localization & Reusability Balance: Develop strategies and guide implementations that effectively balance global code reusability with the imperative for deep localization, ensuring market-specific features and content can be rapidly deployed without creating unmanageable code forks

Frontend Performance & Optimization: Drive initiatives to optimize frontend performance across all devices and network conditions, ensuring a smooth and responsive player experience

Technical Debt Management: Proactively identify and address technical debt, advocating for sustainable architectural solutions that support long-term growth and agility

Architectural Guidance: Provide hands-on architectural guidance and oversight to multiple engineering squads within the Player Experience tribe, ensuring solutions are well-designed, efficient, and maintainable

Alignment & Cohesion: Drive alignment of technical solutions across various squads within the tribe, fostering consistency and reusability, particularly for core UI components and player-facing functionalities

Strategic Adherence: Ensure all solutions developed within the tribe adhere to the overarching technology strategy set forth by the Chief Architect

Cross-Tribe Collaboration: Facilitate and ensure technical alignment for solutions that span multiple product tribes (e.g., integrating with MarTech or Sportsbook features), working collaboratively with other Solutions Architects and engineering leads

Product-Tech Synergy: Act as a key bridge between product and technology, ensuring that technical solutions effectively support and drive the Player Experience product strategy

Technical Evolution: Champion the continuous evolution of our player-facing products, identifying opportunities for innovation, improvement, and adoption of new frontend technologies and patterns

Best Practices: Promote and enforce engineering best practices, design patterns, and coding standards within the tribe, with a strong focus on frontend architecture, UI/UX implementation, and mobile development

Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide engineers on architectural principles and complex technical challenges related to large-scale frontend development and mobile applications

Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical roadblocks and design challenges, particularly those related to performance, scalability, and cross-market customization

Perform related duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring: 

Substantial experience as a Solutions Architect or senior technical role in frontend or mobile environments

Proven success with large-scale frontend systems and mono - repo strategy implementation

iGaming or other high-traffic, consumer-facing industry experience preferred

Experience with A/B testing and personalization platforms (nice to have)

Knowledge of web accessibility standards (preferably)

Familiarity with PAM systems in the iGaming domain (nice to have)

Knowledge:

Expertise in Node.js (NestJS) and ReactJS (Next.js)

Solid knowledge of localization/internationalization frameworks

Familiarity with native mobile app development and hybrid app strategies

Exposure to PHP (Laravel) for integration understanding is a plus

Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and frontend deployment strategies

Exceptional problem-solving and detail-oriented thinking

Knowledge of Web/mobile performance optimization, accessibility, and security best practices for mobile apps

Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment strategies (e.g., Firebase, AWS, App Store, Google Play)

Proficient in written and verbal English communication
