Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding stainless steel and aluminum, as well as experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding tools. You should also be able to read blueprints or technical schematics. We expect our team members to have strong attention to detail in order to ensure the quality of each weld and the safety of the workplace.
Qualifications
The MIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) on various metal components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will read and interpret blueprints, set up welding equipment, and perform welds that meet precise specifications and quality standards. A strong focus on safety, consistency, and teamwork is essential.Responsibilities:

- Set up, adjust, and operate MIG welding equipment and related machinery (grinders, saws, etc.).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine welding specifications.
- Perform high-quality MIG welds on various materials (primarily mild steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum) in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques.
- Fit, align, and clamp components together in preparation for welding using jigs, fixtures, and hand tools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control to ensure production goals are met.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, and respirators.
- Document work performed and report any material defects or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of [2-3] years of professional MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial settings.
- Proven ability to pass a hands-on welding test.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of welding symbols, weld types, and joint design.
- Understanding of weld settings (voltage, wire speed, gas flow) for different material thicknesses.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Technical certification from a welding program or apprenticeship.
- Experience with other welding processes (TIG, Flux-Cored, Stick).
- Experience welding with aluminum and/or stainless steel.
- Familiarity with ISO or AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
- Forklift certification or experience with overhead cranes.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts).
- Must be able to lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and good vision (corrective lenses acceptable).
- Work is performed in a manufacturing plant with exposure to metal fumes, heat, sparks, and typical shop noise. PPE is required and provided.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and in various positions (kneeling, bending, overhead).

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, extreme cold and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
