Role Spotlight:
As Transportation Equipment Technician in our Siemens Mobility – MO CP Facility, Alpharetta, GA, you will bring your expertise to the evaluation, repair, and testing of rail motors and gears across factory and field locations.
What Your Responsibilities Look Like:
- Inspect incoming units thoroughly; provide precise documentation.
- Operate cranes and assembly machinery adeptly.
- Analyze mechanical documents to ascertain required specifications.
- Skillfully dismantle and assemble motor components.
- Verify repairs through standardized quality assessments.
- Commit to safety training and Zero Harm initiatives.
- Keep accurate logs of hours, parts, and financial reports.
- Create failure analyses, supported with photos.
- Maintain vigilance in high-voltage settings.
- Navigate between factory duties and field responsibilities, requiring limited travel.
Your Background:
- Two years of related experience or certified training in electrical/mechanical expertise.
- Hands-on with industrial machinery and diagnostic devices.
- Experienced in troubleshooting and subsequent electrical repairs.
- Analytical thinker with a keen eye for precision.
- Technical proficiency in computing and relevant applications.
- Capable with Lean strategies, 6S, and Environmental Health Safety.
- Possesses strong verbal skills and a collaborative personality.
- Physically able to handle objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Optional: Mastery of the German language.
