Live-In Direct Support Peer – Reduced Rent Opportunity (City of Decatur)

Position Overview

You’ll provide direct support to a vibrant and neurodivergent 27-year-old woman with mild intellectual disabilities. This role is centered around shared home life and mutual respect, offering both personal fulfillment and professional growth.

Support Responsibilities Include:

● Encouraging and assisting with personal hygiene routines

● Sharing and modeling household cleaning/organization

● Supporting meal planning and basic meal prep

● Ensuring safety and offering overnight presence for emergencies

● Promoting a calm, clean, and disability-friendly home environment

● Private Bedroom & Reduced Rent: $325/month

● Charming 3BR/1BA Home in City of Decatur School District

○ Hardwood floors, large screened back porch, private parking, WiFi

○ Shared access to vegetable garden and sunny backyard

○ Walking/biking distance to: Decatur Square, Emory Shuttle, MARTA, Glenlake Park, groceries, schools

● Additional Paid Hours: Up to 10 hours/week of task-specific support at $25/hour

● Flexible Schedule: Weekday hours are flexible. Overnight presence expected, but negotiable with planned time away.
