Job Summary The School of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks dynamic candidate for a faculty position in the Exercise Science and Health Promotion tracks of the Health Sciences program. This is an academic year (10-month contract) non tenure-track appointment. The contract is expected to begin August 1, 2025.
Responsibilities *Responsibilities - *
-Teach 15 credit hours (includes lectures and labs) per semester in the Exercise Science and Health Promotion tracks of the Health Science program, with some online instruction required
-Develop and update curriculum, course content, and lab manuals
-Maintain campus office hours, prepare lesson plans, course syllabi, lectures, other course materials such as quizzes and exams, submit grades and attendance reports, and maintain a commitment to high impact practices
-Supervise health science students in laboratory and internship settings
-Maintain lab environment including equipment updates, purchases, and repair
-Participate in assessment activities
-Conduct academic advisement and career counseling
-Travel to site locations
-A commitment to high impact practices.
Required Qualifications *Educational Requirements*
-Master of Science in Exercise Science, or related field *Other Required Qualifications*
-Must possess a current valid drivers license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review *Required Experience*
-In-person classroom/lab instruction or clinical practice experience working in the field of physiology, rehab, exercise science or closely related field, preferably in the last 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications *Additional Preferred Qualifications*
-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification (within 6 months of hire)
-Related health and wellness certifications including but not limited to: EP-C, CHES, ACSM-EP, or equivalents *Preferred Educational Qualifications*
-Doctoral degree in Exercise Science or related field (or be ABD)
