The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for hands-on managing the routine aspects of the Colorchrome team member experience by administering pay, benefits, and leave; implementing and enforcing company policies and safety initiatives; and participating in recruiting, onboarding, retention, discipline, and termination. The Human Resources Manager will be encouraged to learn and become proficient in all aspects of the framing and printing industry to better understand what Colorchrome does as a company as well as understanding the needs and responsibilities of individual team members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Administer weekly payroll, benefits, reports, and leave in accordance with company policies.

· Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, onboarding, and retention.

· Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.

· Participate in team member performance evaluations, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Acquire and implement knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Manage employee enrichment opportunities such as teambuilding events, birthdays, and special occasions.

· Balance company and team member needs to maximize both company productivity/profitability and team member job satisfaction.

· Ensure that needed office supplies remain stocked and maintain cleanliness and working condition of small kitchen appliances.

· Acts as the designated Safety Officer in charge of compliance and audits.

· Perform other duties as required.


Desired Skills, Background, and Certifications

· 4+ years in a human resources role, with experience managing varied aspects of the position

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communication or a related field.

· SHRM Certification preferred.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Self-starter, able to work independently and efficiently to develop own structure and meet organizational goals.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
