Youth Pastor - Full-time

Mount Olivet Baptist Church (Southern Baptist), located in Hartwell, GA, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Youth Pastor to lead, disciple, and equip our middle and high school students (grades 6th-12th) in their walk with Christ.

Position Summary

The Youth Pastor will oversee and develop a comprehensive student ministry (6th-12th grades) that prioritizes evangelism, discipleship, worship, missions, and fellowship. This individual will work alongside the Senior Pastor, staff, and volunteers to ensure a thriving, gospel-centered youth ministry that aligns with the overall mission of the church.

Responsibilities

· Lead weekly student gatherings, Bible studies, and discipleship opportunities.

· Develop and implement a vision for student ministry that fosters spiritual growth, community, and outreach.

· Plan and lead youth events, retreats, mission opportunities, and camps.

· Recruit, equip, and shepherd adult leaders and volunteers.

· Build relationships with students and families, providing spiritual encouragement and guidance.

· Partner with parents in the discipleship of their students.

· Participate in overall church life, including worship, staff meetings, and church-wide events.

· Work under the leadership of the Senior Pastor and in cooperation with church leadership to carry out the mission of Mount Olivet Baptist Church.

Qualifications

· A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.

· A sense of calling to youth ministry.

· Agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

· Bachelor’s degree in ministry or related field preferred.

· Previous experience in student ministry preferred.

· Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

· Ability to relate well to students, parents, and adult volunteers.

Compensation and Benefits

· Full-time salary commensurate with experience and education.

· Support for ministry training and continuing education as appropriate.
