Warehouse General Manager

A growing firm in Calhoun, GA is hiring a Warehouse General Manager to lead all operations for a large-scale warehouse and logistics facility supporting mission-critical construction projects. The Warehouse General Manager will direct receiving, inspection, storage, staging, and outbound shipping of owner-furnished equipment across 500,000+ square feet. This role carries full accountability for safety, staffing, inventory accuracy, client communication, and budget performance in the Northwest Georgia metro area.

Key Responsibilities - Warehouse General Manager

• Lead daily warehouse and logistics operations including receiving, unloading, inspection, internal movement, staging, and shipping of owner-furnished equipment to active construction sites. Coordinate staffing plans, shift schedules, and equipment usage across the facility.
• Enforce a zero-incident safety culture compliant with OSHA standards and site-specific requirements. Conduct safety meetings, audits, toolbox talks, and ensure personnel hold current certifications for forklifts, rigging, cranes, and aerial lifts.
• Oversee inventory control processes using warehouse management software, barcode tracking systems, and chain-of-custody documentation. Monitor accuracy and minimize losses, damage, or misplacement of client materials.
• Serve as the primary warehouse operations contact for the client, participating in planning sessions, progress updates, and operational reviews. Provide timely communication on schedule, inventory status, risks, and concerns.
• Manage warehouse operational budgets including staffing costs, equipment rentals, and subcontractor expenses. Recruit, train, mentor, and hold accountable a team of supervisors, operators, riggers, inventory staff, and logistics coordinators.

Qualifications - Warehouse General Manager

• 10–15 years of warehouse, logistics, construction support, material handling, or industrial operations experience
• 5–10 years in a leadership or general management role overseeing large teams
• Experience managing warehouse operations exceeding 500,000 square feet
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems, barcode tracking, inventory software, and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of OSHA compliance, rigging operations, forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment handling
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, logistics, supply chain, business, or engineering preferred; equivalent field experience accepted

Preferred Qualifications - Warehouse Operations Director

• Experience supporting data centers, industrial facilities, hospitals, or large-scale construction projects
• Owner-furnished equipment logistics and chain-of-custody experience
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• Forklift Certification
• Rigging and Signal Person Certification
• APICS, Supply Chain, or PMP Certification
• First Aid / CPR Certification

Physical Requirements - Warehouse General Manager

• Walk large warehouse facilities daily across 500,000+ square feet
• Climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work areas
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Navigate active warehouse, loading dock, and construction environments safely
• On-site role in Calhoun, GA; standard business hours with extended hours as project demands require
