Deliver skilled patient care in a dynamic MedSurg/Telemetry environment at a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital with comprehensive specialty centers. Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to MedSurg and Telemetry patients, managing a patient ratio of 1:4-6.
• Administer and monitor cardiac drips including insulin, heparin, and rate-titrated infusions.
• Perform advanced clinical skills such as tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and peripheral IV starts.
• Utilize EMR systems (EPIC) for patient documentation and medication administration.
• Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, and resource nurses to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
• Float between MedSurg units as required, adapting to different patient needs and unit workflows.
• Participate in orientation including unit-specific training and educational modules.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years MedSurg or Telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Competency in cardiac drip management and EKG reading mandatory.
• MedSurg certification is an advantage.
• Ability and willingness to float among MedSurg/Telemetry units.
