Insurance Defense Paralegal
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support a busy litigation team handling a wide range of insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases from inception through trial.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the management of insurance defense litigation matters.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Coordinate and manage document production, record collection, and case files.
- Prepare discovery responses, medical record summaries, and deposition summaries.
- Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines.
- Conduct legal research and assist with trial preparation.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Prepare exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
- Manage electronic filing in state and federal courts.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
- Experience handling high-volume caseloads.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and e-filing platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
