Interviewer
We're seeking motivated individuals to support the Bureau of Labor Statistics by joining our federal contracting team. You'll use your customer service and phone skills to connect with companies nationwide and enroll them in government payroll surveys.
The data you collect is vital for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity—helping inform decisions across the U.S. economy.
What You’ll Do
- You will be calling companies to meet monthly goals.
- Handle confidential data collected via telephone interviews or other authorized methods.
- Review and address inconsistencies within respondents' answers.
- Building relationships with prospective respondents and recruiting businesses to participate in BLS Survey systems
- Maintaining quality control over collected data, as well as detecting and documenting issues encountered when gathering valid information.
- Analyzing numbers, checking errors, and making corrections as needed.
- Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Conduct online research to obtain contact information for the target company.
- Competitive pay: ($16.47- $20.18) + $4.77/hour (H&W up to 40 hours) = $21.24 - $24.95 – Depending on Experience
- Full time employment with a set daytime schedule: Monday – Friday

- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency with basic computer functions, including typing a minimum of 40 wpm, is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required. Additional Microsoft Office experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using the internet for research.
- Ability to adapt and work well in a team
- Displays excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Basic math skills, to include the ability to round, quantify, and analyze numbers.
- General office skills and knowledge of standard office computer equipment
- Ability to obtain and pass a VA government background check
- Two forms of valid ID (one must be a REAL ID or U.S. passport

The incumbent must be able to effectively operate the current computer system, telephone system, and other office machines such as copier and fax machines. Physical Activity:
The incumbent must be able to finger, grasp, feel, see, sit, hear, and speak. This position is sedentary in nature with minimal lifting requirements. Working Conditions:
The incumbent works office environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions such as heat, cold, or extreme noise. Routine periods of being on the phone utilizing a headset, sitting and data keying are required.
