Forklift Operator
The Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of materials throughout the yard and warehouse, supporting production flow and outbound logistics.
Core Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with production supervisor/ manager to unload inbound materials in the proper staging locations
- Move finished goods to outbound staging
- Verify Bill of Lading (BOL) accuracy against delivered materials, including quantity counts and dimensional checks to ensure all components are received correct
- Perform quality inspections on delivered materials, report damaged materials and BOL discrepancies
- Use our QR code based tracking and labeling system to ensure accurate shipment of all parts
- Perform quality inspections, report damaged materials and BOL deficiencies
- Maintain yard organization and safety
- Perform heavy lifting (two-person lifts up to 50 lbs each)
- Pick materials according to released work orders
- Stage outbound materials at designated staging locations
- Load outbound trucks in proper sequence to ensure accurate and efficient delivery
- Production sequencing
- Picking decisions
- Inventory valuation
- Valid forklift certification
- Basic inventory and organization skills
- Ability to read material part numbers and BOL documentation
- Physical capability for repetitive lifting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while assessing the top priorities
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure
