Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide specialized nursing care in the Emergency Room Holding Unit within a Stepdown (PCU) setting, managing patients who require close monitoring before transfer or discharge. This travel opportunity is based near Port Wentworth, GA, offering the chance to practice advanced clinical skills in a dynamic environment with cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, and critical care patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to ER boarders requiring PCU-level monitoring.
• Manage cardiac telemetry using Spacelabs monitors, accurately interpreting and documenting cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists available 24/7 for ABGs, breathing treatments, and ventilator support; RN troubleshooting encouraged.
• Coordinate with imaging and transport tech teams to ensure timely patient diagnostics.
• Uphold unit protocols, including following dress code (navy scrubs) and participating in department-specific orientation.
• Work a rotating schedule, including every other weekend; holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active GA or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum two years recent PCU nursing experience OR one year PCU plus one year in Telemetry, ER, or ICU.
• Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment required.
• Strong recent references from previous travel assignments.
• Reliable transportation and compliance with 100-mile radius travel rule (drivers license copy required).
