Our Human Resources team focuses on strategic support and planning to align and propel business goals. The UPSC Communications Specialist collaborates with a variety of management levels on projects that contribute to the success of the team. This position performs responsibilities related to company-wide communications and employee engagement, such as improving processes and maximizing efficiency. The UPSC Communications Specialist must also be able to consult and collaborate with other areas of UPS Capital outside of HR to understand requirements across the business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to understand UPS Capital's business and enable the HR function to be effective. The UPSC Human Resources (HR) Communications Specialist contributes to the creation, distribution and management of strategic companywide HR communications for a wide variety of existing communication channels. He/she works on multiple concurrent and ongoing projects focused on employee communications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Excellent writing, editing verbal and visual communication skills combined with an ability to work comfortably with high-ranking executives.
- Digital fluency
- Ability to produce varying communication to be shared across multi-platforms (videos, newsletters, pamphlets, etc.)
- Presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in employee branding
- Detail oriented and strategic thinker able to create comprehensive and creative communication plans to reach targeted audiences and drive business goals.
- Able to translate complex topics, particularly technology concepts, into understandable content for busy audiences of various reading and comprehension levels.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities while still producing high quality results.
- Comfortable learning and managing various technology platforms including website content management system, 365, Teams, SharePoint Online, intranet and extranet.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to draft and edit communications a plus.
- Adept at working with all levels within an organization including executive leadership a plus.
