We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Augusta, Georgia. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your accounting skills and contribute to our daily operations. The ideal candidate will support various administrative and financial tasks while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:• Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy.
• Assist with coding invoices and ensuring timely processing of financial documents.
• Conduct routine bank runs and handle other financial errands as needed.
• Manage receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, answering inbound calls, and directing inquiries.
• Provide administrative support by assisting with scheduling, filing, and other office tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and organizational information.
• Support bank reconciliations and other accounting tasks as assigned.
• Contribute to maintaining an organized and detail-oriented work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist with potential financial reconciliation tasks in the future.• Previous experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and coding invoices is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to manage receptionist duties, including answering calls and greeting visitors.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.
