MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST-
Record Management:
Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality, often using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Administrative Tasks:
Handle filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks to support the medical office.
Financial Handling:
Process patient payments, verify insurance information, and assist with billing and insurance claims.
Office Operations:
Keep the reception area clean and orderly, manage office supplies, and coordinate with other healthcare staff.
Compliance:
Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations to protect patient information.
Appointment Management:
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments, and call patients to remind them of their upcoming visits.
Essential Skills
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with office software, including medical practice management software and patient portals.
Organization:
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Customer Service:
A warm, welcoming, and empathetic demeanor to create a positive patient experience.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulousness in handling patient information, appointments, and financial transactions.
