Lead Java Developer
Kforce has a client seeking a Lead Java Developer to join their team. Summary: This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building scalable, cloud-native applications. You will lead development efforts on enterprise-grade solutions, mentor junior developers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other developers to define technical requirements and deliver solutions
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices
- Optimize application performance and scalability in cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
- Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI and cloud computing
- Java (8+): Strong proficiency in core and advanced Java concepts
- Spring Boot: Deep experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Microservices Architecture: Proven ability to design and implement distributed systems
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure or AWS (deployment, monitoring, scaling)
- CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Leadership: Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
